This beautiful twin handled chalice was produced in the France during the 19th century, circa 1840. This rare shaped dish would have been retailed in one of the upmarket boutiques of the Palais Royal shopping arcades of Paris.
The chalice features extensive a circular alabaster base, extensive engraved ormolu details with two scrolling rope handles. This quality item will display excellently; you will have such fun choosing treasures to fill your chalice or even dangle from the handles! Measuring: Width 4 inch (10 cm) by height 2.75 inch (7 cm). Condition: Minor 0.5 inch scratch the interior of the bowl, not a crack. The ormolu has dulled with age.
The alabaster base has some surface wear as is so common with this soft material. Please note the items shown in the final image are not included.
